I've been really quite intrigued about how highlighting and contouring has literally taken over the make-up world. Let's be honest, it is amazing and I have been really excited to try it. I decided to take a trip down to MAC and get my hands on some new goodies that I could use.
Now it wasn't just a highlighting/contour trip, (I just wanted some new make-up, lol). Here's a few things I got my hands on.
(From L-R) The first thing I got was a new contouring brush. This is brush 215 and is excellent for blending in your highlighting and contouring, it was £20.
Next was the Prep and Prime BB Creme that I got in the Deep Dark colour. It feels so light on and sometimes I really don't want to wear make-up and this is perfect for those days. This was £23
The next was an eyeshadow that the lady in MAC told me I could use when contouring my face. At first I was like.. really? Eyeshadow? But it looks AMAZING. Anyway I got this in a colour called Handwritten Matte (this pic doesn't really do it justice, sorry). I would recommend if you wanted to use an eyeshadow for contouring then definitely go into the MAC store and let them test a few so you get the exact shade that's perfect for you. This was £12.50.
And last but not least, a Pro Longwear Concealer. Now I've been using the Pro Longwear range for ages because it's just really good for everyday wear (like uni, work etc). I got this in a shade lighter than I actually am, NC45 (I'm NC50 in foundation and everything else), because I'm using this as a highlight. This was £15.
Have you guys got any new additions to your make-up bags?
